June 16th Development Update
Dear Community,
As we are all aware it is a challenging time for the blockchain industry due to external market forces. We continue to forge ahead and today provide the following updates:
- We conducted a contract security review which resulted in identifying several issues that required resolving. While this has taken some time, it is better to resolve these issues now so we can satisfy our internal contract security review and move forward with confidence.
- We have undertaken a major refactoring of the API, which will be completed we estimate by the end of this month. This is partly due to the results of the above security review but also represents major technical improvements to result in a better end product.
- Once the refactor is done, the testnet version will be deployed.
- In parallel, we are exploring the possibility of migrating to the Flow blockchain. (See prior posts for discussion on alternate blockchains.) This is because:
- It meets our transaction speed/cost requirements better than Ethereum
- Their production/V1 is scheduled for release this month
- The smart contract model seems like a good fit for our platform
If we move forward on Flow, a token bridge will be provided.
Thank you for your patience as we navigate a challenging landscape in order to deliver the best product possible. A portion of locked funds will be used 100% to fund development in the form of salaries for our developers. 0% will be used for salaries for the management team. Like the community, we are invested in the future release and success of the product.
